Diatomeen Formensinn
Diatoms are tiny but since the day of their visualizing through the microscope, a bare 200 years ago, they terrifically inspire the creativeness of human beings. In the year 2009 a project group of young designers, artists and cultural studies scientists from the Bauhaus University Weimar found themselves currently impressed by brand new research results, products and creations that developed out of the involvement with the diatoms.

Formensinn Exhibition
The special exhibition "Diatomeen Formensinn" contributes to the basic issue of the science and conception design of the "constructive understanding". The visitor gains an insight into the diatom research and utilization of their functional morphology for architecture, design and science.
